Primorsky Krai, Vladivostok, Partizanskij prospectus st. 62

The Palace of culture of railwaymen is one of the first cultural and educational buildings built in Vladivostok after the establishment of Soviet power. When the building was based on the model draft of the working Palace of culture for 1200 seats, designed by the famous Soviet architects, P. A. Golosov, V. D. Kokorin and N. J. Collie. Bind it to local conditions and construction management was carried out by engineer M. P. Nikolaev. Built the Palace of culture in 1927-1933.

The outline of the building resembles the hammer and sickle, what is, perhaps, reflected the symbolism of architectural searches of the time. Between the two 2-3-storey wings is the volume of the auditorium from the stage box, connected them with curved inserts. Complex composition, unusual camera angles shifted and rotated to each other volume, two tone painting of the facades give the building a kind of monumentality.

The Palace includes a large auditorium with a capacity of 914, small — 250 people. In 1948 and 1953, the building was reconstructed by architect I. I. Petrenko.

At the moment, in the concert hall held events such as: concerts, plays, recitals and more.
