The open-air museum is dedicated to the largest tank battle of World War II. About one and a half thousand tanks and self-propelled guns took part in a battle near Prokhorovka on July 12, 1943. A 59-meter high bell tower with a 3.5-ton bell was erected on Russia's Third Battlefield on the 50th anniversary of the Great Victory of the Second World War. Nearby is a large exhibition of military equipment from the war.
The temple of Saints Peter and Paul was built in Prokhorovka, financed by donations from the public. The village also houses the museum of military glory, a bell symbolizing the unity of the Slavic peoples, the Cultural and Historical Center and other attractions.Economic Development Department of Belgorod Oblast / derbo.ru
