The idea of creating a theatre in the United Museum of the Urals writers belongs to the former Director of the Museum of L. A. Chudakova. Project authors: architect A. A. Ptashnik, designer V. M. Brusnitsyn. The original architecture and high quality execution of the project allowed Chamber theatre to become one of the landmarks of the city.
Its first season the theatre opened with a performance of «the Stone flower» by tales of the Urals writer P. P. Bazhov. In the following seasons were performances of works by Pushkin, Chekhov, Mamin-Sibiryak, Ibsen, Green, M. Twain, L. Zorin and many other authors. The mission of the Chamber theatre in its performances to promote the best samples of Russian and world classical literature, preserving the traditions of Russian theatre. Interesting fact that Chamber theatre United Museum of the Urals writers is the only Russian example, when the theatre is part of the Museum complex.
