Erected in 1692-1695, this is the only survived administrative building in Pskov. The exposition shows interiors of the voivode’s (commander of the army) and scribes’ chambers and characteristic features of the Russian paperwork of the 17th century. Paperwork was managed here, investigation, court and punishment were held under supervision of voivodes and clerks. Temporary exhibitions and information centre are situated on the ground floor of this ancient building. At the centre you can order excursions and learn about museum objects in the city and the region.
