This is a unique lake in the Solnechny District. Its uniqueness is, first and foremost, based on the fact that it appeared out of nowhere: the lake was unexpectedly noticed and described during an expedition; it is possible that it had been formed quite recently, or maybe eons ago (scientists have to date been unable to establish this).
This environmentally clean place will amaze visitors with its translucent mountain air and transparent water, comparable to the world-famous Baikal. Spruce trees over one hundred years old grow there. In winter this territory has considerable snowfall, the snow covering the land starting from October and melting only by mid-June. A place great for alpine skiing, wouldn't you agree? The area is famous for its breathtaking natural landscapes and it is perfectly suitable for connoisseurs of active winter recreation.
A unique micro-climate exists around the lake: people arrive there to restore their health, relax, train and even pray — for representatives of various denominations, the Amut is a destination for pilgrimage; it is believed that a concentration of grace can be found there.
The bottom of the lake has not been studied yet, and who knows what might be discovered there.
