Shunut stone is one of the most majestic mountain structures of the Middle Urals. At 15 kilometers from South to North stretched pointed composed of ancient quartzites peaks, the highest of which rises to 724 meters above sea level. Majestic cliffs of Shunut, covered by virgin forest, are outlandish and deserted. That's why in the XVII century they have been chosen by the old believers who were persecuted by Patriarch Nikon and the Moscow government.
One of the old Orthodox monasteries became widely known. A long time ago young woman Platonida left the village Krasnoyar and condemned herselves to isolation aamong the wild forest. She lived at pure forest spring until the end of her days. Many years Platonide maintained strength and health. After her death her tomb began a place of pilgrimage. The spring near her tomb began to venerate as the miraculous one. This bright and clean place, is very peaceful. The water of that spring in combination with deep faith gives strength and helps in diseases.
