The Baisanidas are a type of rock structure, characterized by numerous rock ridges and pillars, surrounded by thick mountain pine. The rocks are up to 30-50 meters high. The fantastical shapes of the stone statues remind one of palaces, columns, walls, and animals.
The principal creator of the ensemble is the wind, which causes deflation and corrosion. The rock pillars are composed mostly of granitoid minerals and to a lesser extent — metaphoric minerals. The total area of the site is 1,400 hectares. The rock pillars are distributed unevenly along the ridge: most of them can be found on the southern slopes. The ridge overlooks the peaks of Chikoyskiy range, Kumilskiy bald peak, and Sokhondo.
There is a trail for hikers leading to Lamskiy gorodok. The location is popular among mountaineers.
