This 8 meter high waterfall in the headstream of the Komissarovka River, 3 km from Vestochka (“little message”) settlement and 2 km from famous Lyagushka cliff is well-known to ufology fans. The path to the waterfall runs in marvelous places: first along the abrupt, steep bank of the Ayichka River, then through Sakhalin “jungles” and primal forest untouched by either woodcutters’ axes or forest fires. Here one can see the “spider tree”, “chicken hand tree” and the huge stone “egg with Koshchey the Immortal’s death”. One can actually take a dip in the waterfall.

The return path takes you along the steep slope where huge boulders were scattered by an earthquake some 800 years ago. Not long ago, a guest from space, a meteorite, visited this slope and left a wide fiery trace behind. After this trip, you get a feeling of having visited a “far-far-away” fairytale kingdom. Who knows, you may have done just that!
