The Alby-Yerdy temple was built in the XI-XII centuries in the left bank of river Assa. Following the opinion of most researchers, the temple is recognized as a Christian church, although inside numerous remains of sacrificial animals were found, apparently sacrificed to pagan gods. From the scientific point of view, Albi-Yerdy`s value lies in the way it was perceived by the locals: they considered the structure to be of little importance and thus never bothered to repair or rebuild it , so we got it exactly as it was built.
