Berd Rocks Natural Monument is located in the Iskitimsky District on the right bank of Berd River, four kilometers to the southeast from the village of Novososedovo.
Locals know this rocky stretch of 1.3 kilometers as Zveroboy. Berd Rocks was granted the status of a regional natural monument in 2000. On some of the slopes, there are large areas of scree, slides of large boulders, and rock rivers. The width of this area is nearly 300 meters. They are not usual for this mostly flat area and are a real signature of Berd Rocks.
Eighty-seven species of plants have been found in the monument. Forty-eight species of birds, 19 species of small mammal, two species of lizards, and more than 400 invertebrate species inhabit the lands of the monument. A considerable number of the monument's flora and fauna are listed in the Red Book of Novosibirsk Oblast.
Berd Rocks may be reached either by land, or by water, sailing down the Berd River.
