«Criollo» chocolate history museum is the first private museum in Kirov. The museum is called after a variety of cocoa beans of the same name which are considered to be the finest. The exposition of the museum tells the history of chocolate from the days of Maya up to the present days, shows the way chocolate has gone through Europe to Russia and finally Vyatka (old name of Kirov).
An inseparable part of the museum exposition is a small confectionery factory. Visitors can see how chocolate turns into different shaped sweets through a glass wall. You can not only see but taste many exhibits, as well as make your own chocolate and take it with you. Every visitor of the Criollo museum can create a chocolate figure, taste four different types of chocolate, as well as take memorable photos.
