The monument to St. Tryphon of Vyatka was established on 28 May, 2015. The sculpture was established for voluntary donations: municipal and regional authorities, church, law enforcement officials, enterprises of the region and citizens have collected about 12 million rubles. According to authors of the monument Vladimir Bondarev and Klara Kotsienko they reflected the monk's image, age, Slavic features, as well as his kindness and spirituality in the monument.
Vyatka Tryphon is the locally worshiped Saint of Vyatka and Perm region, founder and priest of Vyatka Uspensky Tryphon monastery in Khlynov (now in Kirov).
