The Krutinka lakes are situated in the territory of the same name in Omsk region. There are five large lakes that form a hydraulically connected system. The biggest of them are the Ik, the Tenis, and the Saltaim. There nest rare birds including pelicans that are listed in Red Book.
People who love fishing will find these lakes highly attractive. Annually up to 5000 people come here to go fishing. Because of the good conditions created and the purposeful selection here you can catch pike, peleds, different carp species, European ciscos, breams, crucians etc.
The Ik lake is one of the biggest reservoirs of Western Siberia. Its coastline is 36 km long. The Ik is round-shaped and a bit elongated from the south-west to the north-east. The length is 12 km, the breadth is 8 km, and the coastline is 22 km. The bottom is even and silty. The water depth gradually increases and in the center of the lake it becomes 4.75 m. The area of the Saltaim lake is 146 square kilometers. The average depth is 0.9 m, and the maximum depth is 1.7 m. The Tenis lake is connected to the Saltaim with a small channel. In the territory of the big Krutinka lakes (the Ik, the Saltaim, the Tenis) there is the northernmost rookery of dalmatian pelicans.
People who love fishing and spending active holidays should visit the Krutinka region in the summertime as well as in the wintertime. Here you can ride a snowmobile, go skiing, and try an exciting occupation called the ice-fishing.
