The home of the traveler

One of the sites of the Primorsky state United Museum is the home of the Traveler, or the memorial house-Museum of V. K. Arsenyev, the only preserved house in Russia where outstanding Russian and Soviet writer, scientist, traveler and Explorer of the Far East Vladimir Arsenyev Klavdievich lived and worked .

The house was built in the early XX century and belonged to the famous Vladivostok homeowner Andrei Fedorovich Jehova.  Arseniev's family moved in the apartment 4 on the second floor in June 1929.

The location of the rooms in the apartment has been preserved as it was during the life of the traveler: office, living room, small bedroom and a nursery. In the office and living room furniture and household items are authentic, they are arranged as it was during the life of the traveler.

Hall tells the story of scientist's research  journeys, such as the trip to Kamchatka, the commander Islands, and also large scientific expedition Sovetskaya Gavan — Khabarovsk. In the exposition hall can be found authentic personal tools of Arsenyev and his expedition diaries.

In the house of the traveler regularly are held meetings, workshops and programs for children and adults.
