Pallada is a training ship of the Far Eastern State technical fish-economic University.
"Pallada" is named after the eponymous frigate in the mid-19th century made with the diplomatic mission of Vice-Admiral Putyatin swimming from Kronstadt across the Atlantic, Indian, Pacific oceans to the shores of Japan. In this voyage was attended by the writer I. A. Goncharov.
The ship gives the opportunity for practical training to the students and cadets of'rybvtuz and other marine educational institutions of Russia.
"Pallada" is originally from Poland, but already on 4 July 1989, the Board raised the flag of Russia. Over 27 years of service to the Motherland the ship has travelled great distances and it was a long journey. Informal record of 311 days at sea when making a trip around the world.
Every year Pallada" takes a new number of interns who travel with ship sailing in countries such as China, Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, etc. Because of the wide geography. joins forces with foreign universities – the Singapore Maritime Academy students share their experiences with each other.
In 2007-2008, the sailing ship "Pallada" made a trip around the world and once again proved that Russia plays an important role in the study of the World ocean and development of the Russian sailing fleet.
The ship is being considered for inclusion in the Guinness book of records as the fastest in the world, the record was reset during trip around the world is 18.8 knots. "Pallada" is open to the public, not only students, but residents and guests of Vladivostok.
