The «White Goose» monument is located on the square in front of the Kursk Central Children's Library. Actually, the librarians became the initiators of the monument creation. The sculpture is devoted to a short story by Yevgeny Nosov, where a goose saves his little goslings at the cost of his own life.
The author of the monument is Yury Kireyev, a member of the «Union of Artists of Russia». It was he who managed to reflect the main idea of the monument — promotion of family values and dedication to fatherhood.
