«Sakura» square, also named «Toidzumi Sun's square» is a nice quite place where locals like to walk.
It is one of the places where cherry trees blossom. Toidzumi-Sun came to Vladivostok in the early XX century when she was a small girl. In Vladivostok she got Russian name and married the beneficiary of the Buddhist Temple’s.
The FESU's students from the faculty of the landscaping developed the design project of the square under the guidance of O.E. Ivanova.
This square is the place of the cultural union between Japan and Russia as well as the unique quite spot where you can see the cherry trees in the bloom.
The stone paths were paved in the square to prevent making spontaneous ones to the cherry trees. There is stone path between four trees, the crowns of which form the shelter range. It is the wonderful place for taking a picture.
