Renewed Poplar Avenue was opened at Prospekt Krasnogo Znameni Street, in Vladivostok in 2005. Significant changes took place in the square during this year. New poplars were planted, crumbled border was replaced, and more than 80 lanterns for night lightening were installed.
Pyramide-shaped poplars were cultivated in «Kiparisovo» nursery garden that is located in Nadezhdinskiy district of the Primorsky Territory. The square׳s arrangement had begun after the plants׳ adaptation. 1245 square kilometers of small and 1500 square kilometers of large border stones were delivered to the square.
«Poplar Avenue» square is the gift from the Regional Government to the city. The creation of the comfortable resting place for the locals and city׳s visitors was the aim of the square׳s opening. Now it is the one of the favourite places for promenades among the tourists.
