This square is located at the intersection of the Semenovskaya and Pogrnichnaya streets in the very Vladivostok׳s centre. The citizens often call this square «The Square with elephants». The figures of the green elephants used to locate here up to 2010. Later the elephants were taken away but the marble arches with the names of the sister-cities written in Russian and English languages occupied its place at the square׳s territory. The elephants were taken back almost a year after much to the joy of the locals. Three green elephants with forged heads now are located in this square again. Great animals hold in their trunks a lantern in which helpless kitten takes a shelter.
The tier of 11 marble arches with one of the sister-city׳s name on each of them is the peculiarity of the square. The sister-cities are Niigata (Japan), Hakodate (Japan), Akita (Japan), San-Diego (USA), Juneau (USA), Tacoma (USA), Busan (republic of Korea), Wonsan (North Korea), Dalian (China), Manta (Ecuador), Kota-Kinabalu (Malaysia).
Although, the square is located in the center of the big city, it is quite green. Its territory are covered with the plenty of trees, shrub and grassland vegetation. There is the interesting playground for little child in the square. A lot of .benches are installed here. Those who have got tired from the walk through the city can take a short rest and just look at the exuberant greenery and keep an eye on children. The square׳s alleys are well-lit during the late evening. The walls of the buildings adjoining to the square are bright with the graffiti. Worldwide famous masters of the street art took a part in its creation. The picture of the DNA-molecule emblematizing the unity of all men appeared here in 2013. The hieroglyph «Relation between people» is written thereabout. But the brightesspot of the square is the picture of the tiger׳s neb, embraced by the human hands which are interlocked among itselves. Moreover, the friendship stone is located here. This historical monument was found in tribute to the amicable relation between Japan and Primorye.
