The building on the main street of the city was the theatre of the "Golden horn", the architect and inspirer of the project - Ivan Meshkov. The infrastructure of the theatre consisted of: a hall with 1,000 seats, a hotel with 120 seats and a restaurant. The theatre successfully toured foreign groups, including Japanese. The current building was built in 1905 after the previous combustion of the theater. The initiator of the construction was made by the merchant Galetsky in 1880. Originally the building itself was wooden, later fragile material was replaced by stone.
In 1920 there was the working youth theatre, after 11 years, its activities have expanded at the expense of performance of dramatic works. After a year here raspolagetsya a temporary theatre. Gorky, which was closed in 1975.
The hotel was in force until 1987, and subsequently the building was closed and converted into a shopping center.
