One of the Vladivostok's squares is located near the historical buildings of the city — Aleutskaya 17 and 19 — one of which bears the name «Seraya Loshad» (Grey Horse).
The square was opened due to the construction and installation of the monument to Yakov Semenov — the Vladivostok's first citizen. The underground utility systems were strengthened and lighting of the square at nighttime was installed in the frame of the large-scale reconstruction.
The square was also decorated with original streetlights; the pedestrian paths were paved with the light-grey granite set. Despite the small size of the square a lot of flower beds are laid out its territory. The trees with wild crowns grow here also.
The locals and city's visitors often stop here for brief rest.
