Mount Pobeda («Viktory») is the highest point of Chersky Range and Yakutia. Chersky Range is 1500 meters long mountain system in the north of Yakutia. Height of mount Pobeda is 3003 meters.
There is sharply continental climate, summer is cold, often there are frosts and snowfalls. For this reason the mountain is considered as a difficult summit, ascension on it requires equipment, special clothes which won't allow to freeze and experience of movement on a handrail.
The Sasyr village is the nearest settlement from Chersky Range. Usually climbers stay there, check the equipment and fill up inventories if it is necessary. The best season for climbing at mount Pobeda is summer.
