The first Orthodox community in the city was founded in the town of Fokino in 1995. 2 years after the arrival of the new Archpriest of the parish life began to change for the better: on the site of the former hardware store was built a temporary Church.
Here were performed rites of baptism, the ordinances of divine services, weddings and other religious services. Only in 1996 in the temple December 13, was held divine Liturgy.
In 1997, after years of petitions from the temple workers and local residents were allocated for the construction of a new temple. Assistance came not only from ordinary citizens but from the administration of the coastal fleet and other government agencies. 13 December 2000, the newly constructed Church was consecrated and began work.
Caring for the temple is always: the transformation relate to both external decoration and interior. The temple brought the Holy relics of the saints: Holy great Martyr George the victorious, great Martyr and healer Panteleimon and the Apostle and patron of the Church of St. Andrew.
