The monument to Partizansk's miner was unveiled in Partisansk town in 2016. The master sinker, Vasiliy Fyodorov, became its antitype.
The sculpture was installed in 1950 near the Vocational School, after the major overhaul of which it was given to the City Council of veterans. It was decided to reinstall the monument at one of the meetings later. The place near the «Miners» Glory» memorial sign locating in the schoolyard was chosen as the new site for the monument.
Vasily Fyodorov made an invaluable contribution to the coal production and development of the coal industry. He was an honoured miner, the holder of the Badge of Honour Order, as well as the holder of three «Miner׳s Glory» honorary badges. The figure was cast in concrete by woman, the name of which was lost.
The miner׳s family living in Partizansk up to now attended the unveiling of the memorial.
Similar sculptures were installed in the several sites of the town including the places near the shafts with numbers 21 and 24.
