One of the symbols of Lensk is a Coachmen's monument, which is situated on the Seafront, a favourite place of walks of townspeople. This monument is quite large and depicts a fellow-coachman on a dashing three stallions. The first coachman's station called Mukhtua was opened on the territory of modern Moscow in the XVII century. Almost all the guests of the city come to the Waterfront to see this magnificent work and to be photographed on its background.
The monument was opened in 2005. The sculptural composition made by S. Mironov.
