The monument is made of metal and stone and is 4 meters high. The arch in the upper part of the monument symbolize borders of the land and worldly life and the Bell of Memory finishes the monument. Two cranes are a main part of the monument, they symbolize souls of perished soldiers.
The lower part of the monument is made of the dark marble. There is an inscription on it — lines from a song of Mark Bernes “Cranes”:
“Sometimes it seems to me that soldiers which didn’t return from bloodiest battles
Were returned into white cranes…”
