The Sakha (Yakutia) Republic , Tommot

The monument ‘Engine’

Монумент «Паровоз»
The monument ‘Engine’ of the E 3884 series is established on August 28, 2004 in honor of opening of passenger traffic on the railroad of ‘the station Neryungri-passenger — the station Tommot’ and laying of a silver link of a railway line ‘Tommot — Yakutsk’. The monument is located near the railway station of Tommot city. The station Tommot is one of the main railway stations in the republic, from here trains go to the next cities — Neryungri, Tynda, Khabarovsk, Blagoveshchensk, Moscow. It is interesting fact that engines here almost were never seen because the new line of BAM (Baikal-Amur Mainline) was constructed already in a diesel era of railway.
