The Angara is a river in Eastern Siberia, the largest right tributary of the Yenisei River, the only river flowing from Lake Baikal. It flows through the territory of the Irkutsk region and the Krasnoyarsk region. The area of the river basin is 1,040 thousand square km and without the basin of Lake Baikal it is 468 thousand square km. The river belongs to the Angara-Baikal basin district. The length of the watercourse is 1,779 km. Angara is included in the list of waterways of Russia.
