The Moscow Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945, which has become the centre of Memorial Complex of Victory, was opened on Poklonnaya Gora in Victory Park on 9 May 1995. It consists of military, historical and artistic expositions. 6 dioramas devoted to the major battles of the Second World War are the honor of the museum. Distinctive feature of the exposition is displayed by audio-visual complexes showing original documentary film of wartime, rare photos, cartographical and archive materials. Museum is equipped with automated system of data search of those who died in days of the Great Patriotic War – “Book of Memory”. Museum exposition extends in the Victory Park where exhibition of military hardware and engineering fortification of the Great Patriotic War and the Second World War are located.
