How to reach the object: M: Mayakovskaya
It was found by Ya.V. Shchukin, the Moscow famous theatrical entrepreneur and patron. Its doors were opened first time in 1894. Official opening of the garden under the name The New Hermitage had place in the 18th of June 1895. The garden was successfully run headed Ya.V. Shchukin up to 1917. The garden is small, but well- roomed and with comfortable benches along the lanes. No doubt, this is the most romantic place in the city centre. Life is buzzing here regardless of time of the year: in winter – dating on a skating-rink and mulled wine, and when the weather becomes warm – open-airs and picnics on the lawns.
